WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

February 4, 2015

Have you ever noticed the first things the average child will say when you ask them, "what are you doing?" More than often the response is nothing, not because they actually aren't doing anything but because often they aren't doing what they are supposed to be doing.

Now as much we find humor in that, what is your average response when asked the question, what are you doing?

Beyond the things that we have all (unnecessarily & often unintentionally) added to our schedule, what are you doing?

Before you answer to quickly with your resume, your track record, and your calendar- what are you doing with what God has given you?

There is a gift, a talent, a calling within all of us. There is something unique that only you are able to do and accomplish, something that you may not have gone to school for but yet you know how to get it done.

Yet, if you look at your life, instead of making progress you are simply passing time.

For some it has been your fear of failure. God says, I have not given you the spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind. 2 Tim. 1:7

For some it has been the limited resources. God says, all that you need can be found in His hands. Phil 4:19

For some it has been that you were waiting on the validation of others. God says, before you were born I know what I placed inside of you. Jer. 1:5

For some it has been that you were waiting on the right timing. God says, I have already fought the battle and given you the land. Joshua 1:3

Everything that you have been running from is in your head. The leap between where you are and where you're going starts with your mind.

Eph 3:20 says, Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.

What would happen if you decided to rely on Gods unlimited power, instead of looking at your limited capacity. Write that book, start that business, launch that ministry, apply for that job, go back to school. Whatever God is calling you to do, do it.

One yes can change your life. Instead of doing whatever you want to do, stop and ask Lord what would you have me to do in this season of my life.

My prayer is you is that you begin to trust God for the grace to move forward and watch Him work in your life.
